Named for the iconic French villain of page and screen, Fantomas is intended by Nasomatto’s always iconoclastic Nose as “the smell of a sophisticated crime.” There’s a captivating element of the illicit there, a lurid haze of narcotic smoke and glinting gunmetal that feels raw, sensual, and dangerous. Fantomas is as elegant as he is evil, and the fragrance reflects his wit and charm as well, with delightful and surprising tones of laconic warmth and melony freshness. The magic, of course, is in the ever-shifting balance between glamour and danger, between the sinister and the whimsical.
